BOOKING & CANCELLATIONS Once a completed booking form has been received, an invoice will be issued via email. A 15% non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking with the remaining balance due at least seven (7) days prior to hire date. A fee of $100 will be charged following the event subject to damage occurring to the equipment or additional cleaning time required (including balls not being returned to the ball pit at end of hire). Additional charges may apply should the equipment require extensive repair or complete replacement. The equipment is unable to be setup in any form of rain, or when the forecast predicts any chance of rain within the hire time. In the event of unsuitable weather on day of hire, hirer must contact Soft Play Townsville minimum two (2) hours prior to scheduled hire time to confirm change to wet weather venue. If no suitable venue is available, monies paid will be transferable to a new date within a six (6) month period. Cancellations made with seven (7) or more days notice will result in either: monies paid being refunded, minus the non-refundable deposit; OR full credit to use within a period of six (6) months. Cancellations made with six (6) or less days notice, will result in all monies paid being forfeited. Exclusions subject to approval. SET UP & TERMS OF HIRE Soft Play Townsville will only operate within acceptable standards of Health & Safety, we reserve the right to refuse any services that contravene those standards or the terms of our insurance. Equipment will NOT be set up outdoors in the months November - February (large patios and garages accepted) and will only be set up in shaded outdoor areas in the months March - October. Due to the North Queensland heat, this is the safest option as the equipment gets hot to touch, children are more prone to heat-related illness/sunburn, and excessive sweat contributes to the wear and tear of the equipment. The wet season is also very unpredictable, and these measures are in place to avoid cancellation. Indoor venues are preferred and are accepted all year round. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure a suitable open space is available for set up of the equipment. We will not be responsible for moving furniture. Soft Play Townsville will make every attempt to accommodate the space however should the equipment not fit in your designated area on the day, only a select number of suitable pieces will be set up. Refunds will not be offered. Delivery and set up will be completed prior to the hire start time stated in the booking so that play can commence from hire start time. Please ensure no children are attempting to play on the equipment during set up or pack down. Venues with staircases are required to be disclosed on the booking form and may incur an additional labor fee. This will be itemized on the invoice. Should we arrive on the day and there are stairs which were not previously discussed, the hirer will be advised of additional fees. Hire is for a period of up to four (4) hours, commencing from hire start time stated in booking. One (1) additional hour can be added onto the hire period for a cost of $25. Longer hire periods available upon request and are subject to additional costs. Rules of Play A responsible adult must supervise children on the equipment at all times to ensure that it is being used safely and within the below limitations. Supervising adults who enter the Soft Play area must remove their shoes.  Strictly no high heels as these will puncture holes in the mats. The equipment is designed for use by children aged zero (0) to six (6) years old, care should be taken to avoid smaller children being injured by the older children. Equipment must remain within the designated play area at all times and all balls returned to the ball pit at end of play (cleaning fee may apply if balls are not returned to the ball pit and/or are missing). The following items are NOT to be used on or come into contact with the equipment: substance such as paint, face paint, glitter, confetti, bubble mixture, silly string, pool water, markers; food, food dye & cake icing, drinks or chewing gum; shoes; animals; sharp or breakable objects such as glass, keys or pins. No smoking, fire pits or barbecues in close proximity to the equipment. Equipment is to be setup in indoor or shaded outdoor areas only, however should the sun move onto the equipment during the hire, caution should be taken to ensure children do not get burnt on the hot surface. If heavy soiling (such as mud, sand, wet grass, bodily fluids) of the equipment does occur during play time, the HIRER is responsible for cleaning the equipment as soon as possible using only a damp cloth. Please notify Soft Play Townsville upon collection of any accidents as the area will require deep sanitizing. Soft Play Townsville are not to be held liable for any injury incurred during the use of the equipment.
